4 New Year’s practical resolution ideas for personal improvement:

Year 2020 has been hard, but the New Year is with a lot of possibilities. We have learned a lot about ourselves and the transient nature of life. No matter how bad things have been and how many days we’ve spent crying, we need to be hopeful and keep going. Now it is time for us to be able to heal and create the biggest positive shift in our life. We need to invest some time to be mentally strong quieting our mind and focusing on positivity and self-improvement. Here are a few things I think we can adopt in our lifestyle that can help amp up our life satisfaction:

# Invite mindfulness into your life:

Life is a very frustrating experience once we realize there are a bunch of things that are happening beyond our control. However, this frustration can be minimized by the regular practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness has been proven to enhance flexibility, improve mental focus and clarity, and resilience. Regular practice can help us gain control of bringing awareness to the positive side of the mind. I suggest practicing mindfulness almost every time you are awake. Try to relax your face muscles including your eyes and cheeks. Then focus just on the rhythm of breath going in and going out in a non-judgmental way. When I need to learn and understand something, I tend to focus on the breath for a few seconds, then once my focus is set only on breathing, I quickly switch my focus on the context which I am reading. It takes time to get used to it, but it is worth it (Anything worth having takes time and effort)

# Introspection, self-consciousness, and contemplation:

Enclose yourself in a room. First of all focus your attention on your breath, the inhale, and exhale. Then, forgive yourself and all the people around you. Try to peer inside of your ‘self’. Get real and honest with yourself and identify and make a list of all of the bad habits you have. Try to find solutions to each of them one at a time and write them all Those bad habits can be anything that’s hurting yourself or others. Determine never to hurt anyone and help everyone moving forward.

# Plan to make a difference:

Think about the ways you can create a meaningful impact on your society. There are many ways you can give back to make a difference in society. A monetary donation, volunteering, donating blood, raising money for a cause, and doing anything for others can make a difference to society. Understand that you are here on this planet for a reason, and that reason is to make a difference here.

# Start Creating, Be a Creator:

Start blogging along with a new YouTube channel. Blogging is still one of the most effective media to express yourself and share your passions. If you would like to deliver this to your audience via video, you can always do that through your YouTube channel since video content seems to be the newest trend to express yourself. You can also create accounts on all of the social media and share your content there. If someone provides feedback, accept them with thankfulness. Every person has something to share. Content Creation is a skill that you can be better at once you start practicing. Unless you start, you can never be better at it. I also started blogging and created a new YouTube channel to express my ideas.
